Would you consider rats as pets? Yes or no, and why.

When I was younger I had a hamster so yes.
They’re fairly boring and they don’t smell that great but it’s an easy pet to maintain for a child.
YES! Rats, pet rats are very sociable creatures, they like to play and cuddle. They will follow you around curious. They are very delicate though and while you can’t leave them roaming around free in the house without supervision( they will find a way out, with all the consequences) they need big environment. Don’t get an animal and put it in small cage 
I have honestly heard really good things about rats as pets. that they are social, friendly, and loyal… But what if they bite you!!! That would really suck

Not more than if your cat does. Pet rats aren’t sewer rats,they are very clean animals. They have a nice bite to them but it isn’t more of a health hazard than other pets. Lizards are worse on that side

Had a roommate with pets rats !! Freaked me out at first but I got used to it !! Only rats I’m was familiar with were the D.C. street / dumpster rats!

No, but I know some people that do and love them. One of my female friends drove eight hours to get one.
